Nestled in the foothills of western Maine, not far from the coast is the picturesque and historic town of Newfield, home to BarnSwallow Pottery.

BarnSwallow pottery has been a New England tradition since 1970 when Barbara O'Brien, owner and resident potter, established a studio and retail shop in York County. Moving to Newfield in 1976, BarnSwallow expanded to earn its current reputation for unique and affordable quality craftwork.

The studio and shop are together in an 1850's barn where customers are invited to browse two floors of functional stoneware pottery and carefully selected gifts. It's a casual shopping experience, and customers quickly become friends, visiting around the potter's wheel.
A popular destination for people who are "from away" who get "turned around," BarnSwallow Pottery is easy to find, located on Elm Street, just off of Route 11. It's just down the street from Willowbrook Museum. Other area businesses include the The Shop at Willowbrook, and Sunflower Crafts. Click here or on the map below to find where we are located.
